A pump crisis doesn’t always have to mean a true crisis.  This post explains how a chemical manufacturing plant couldn’t get their standard pump replaced by their regular supplier so they came to us instead.

A leading chemical manufacturing company in the North-West discovered that the magnetic drive centrifugal pumps they had received from another supplier were not working, and they were stuck.   It was two days before Christmas, and they learned that their usual supplier had quite a long lead time for replacement pumps. The customer was understandably anxious about the downtime that would occur if they didn’t have the pumps up and running soon.

How a Chemical Customer Got Their Pumps Just in Time for the New Year

Our Sales Engineer took the call on the 23rd of December and let them know that we could provide them with one of our own mag drive pumps of the same size. Despite the short notice, we were able to fulfil their order, and the customer was thrilled with the outcome. Our team worked tirelessly to get the pumps spec’d up, ordered and processed before everyone closed down for Christmas and the pumps were delivered to the customer in the first week back.

Our company has been in the pump business for 25 years in the UK, and for over 60 years in total. We understand the importance of keeping our customers’ sites up and running smoothly. When we received this call, we knew that we had to act fast to get them the pumps they needed as quickly as they needed us to.

One of the things that sets us apart from our competitors is our commitment to customer service. We understand that unexpected problems can arise, and we pride ourselves on being able to respond quickly and effectively to these challenges. In this case, we were able to provide the customer with the pump they needed in a matter of days, even though it was the holiday season.

The customer was impressed with our ability to deliver on such short notice and they appreciated the speed and efficiency of our service.  They also appreciated that we were able to meet their needs at a time when they were feeling stressed and uncertain and that we were able to provide them with pumps that were equivalent in size to the ones they had failed making for a fast, simple replacement.

In the end, everyone was happy. The pump crisis was dealt with, the customer minimised downtime, and our own team were proud to have been able to help them out in their time of need. It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do, and why we’re so passionate about providing exceptional service to all of our customers.

We have many pumps in stock in our workshop in Wellingborough and also operate an ‘Emergency Pump Stock‘ programme where your CDR-manufactured pump can be manufactured to your specification in just three days (plus  around 10 days for delivery)

Enhancing Control and Safety in Tanker Unloading Operations

A long-term customer, who operates within the chemical manufacturing industry, approached us because they needed to modernise and improve control over their tanker unloading processes. Their existing systems operated by either using the “blowing method” or relying on pumps mounted on the tankers and weren’t particularly reliable, consistent, or safe, especially when it comes to handling aggressive chemicals such as 96% Sulphuric Acid and 50% Hydrogen Peroxide.

The Right Pump for Fume Scrubbers

Chemical pumps improve the performance of your fume scrubbers!
It’s a bold statement, but true.  Industrial ventilation plays a key role in workplace safety and regulatory compliance in manufacturing plants. Industries like chemical processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and metalworking rely on robust (and reliable) ventilation systems to remove harmful fumes, particulates,…
