When critical chemical process pumps failed unexpectedly, our customer was under significant pressure to restore operations before costly downtime escalated. CDR Pumps responded through its Emergency Pump Stock Programme, rapidly supplying replacement magnetic drive pumps to get their operations running again quickly.

To add to the urgency, our chemical manufacturing customer faced this urgent challenge just two days before Christmas, when the mag drive pumps supplied by another manufacturer failed to perform as expected. 

With their usual supplier unable to provide replacements for several weeks, production was at risk and the customer was understandably concerned about the prospect of prolonged downtime. They needed a fast, reliable solution to get their processes back up and running quickly – and that’s when they turned to CDR Pumps.

Our engineering team received the enquiry on 23 December and quickly reassured the customer that we could provide CDR-manufactured mag drive pumps to the same specification. Our team moved swiftly to specify and process the replacement pumps order before the approaching Christmas shutdown. The new pumps were delivered to the customer during the first week of January, allowing them to restore operations swiftly and minimise downtime.
